FOUNTAINTOWN
Randolph Denny, known to most as Randy, age 83, of Fountaintown, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Community Hospital South. Born on February 1, 1940, in Jabez, Kentucky, he was the son of Clara (Hurd) and Otha Denny. He went to Arsenal Tech High School. On August 22, 1959, Randy married Lena Paige (Jordan) in Indianapolis.
Before retiring in 1996, he worked for Kroger Bakery for 38 years. Randy was a member of New Life Methodist Church and attended New Palestine United Methodist Church for many years. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, taking care of his yard, old cars, and tractors. Randy loved spending his winters in Florida with his wife and friends. He enjoyed every minute that he could with his family. His grandchildren were his world.
Randy is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Lena Denny; son, Rick Denny; daughter, Lori Edwards; favorite son-in-law, Dale Edwards; grandchildren, Jordan Edwards, Jake Edwards and Natalie Berea; and siblings, Odis Denny and Alene Apple. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Otha Denny; and sister, Imogene Roach.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at the mortuary on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with viewing 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Anthony Stone will be officiating. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery.
