Preschool open houses coming up

GREENFIELD – Local preschools will host open house events to let parents and children tour schools and ask questions about the 2023-24 school year.

Drama club to benefit from Dine to Donate event

GREENFIELD – Greenfield-Central High School’s Drama Club will benefit from an upcoming Dine to Donate event.

Leo’s Eatery will donate 20% of all eatery proceeds to the drama department between 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17. The business is located at 2212 W. Main st., Greenfield.

Donations accepted for student meal debt

GREENFIELD – Greenfield-Central Community School Corporation invites the community to help pay for children’s meal debts.

Feed the Future donations will go towards unpaid student meal debts in the corporation. Visit EZSchoolPay.com and create an account or continue as a guest and search Greenfield-Central Schools. Select “Feed the Future Donation” and enter the amount you wish to donate. All donors will receive a digital confirmation receipt for tax purposes.

Brittain named to president’s list

FORTVILLE – Aimee Brittain of Fortville was among students recently honored on the president’s list of Utah Tech University.

The list recognizes the 10 percent of the student body that achieve a grade point average of 3.9 or higher. Brittain’s recognition was based on the fall 2022 semester.

Trivia night to benefit EH Education Foundation

CHARLOTTESVILLE – Eastern Hancock Education Foundation will host a trivia night, and the winning team gets to choose a teacher to receive a classroom grant worth up to $500.

The event is at 6 p.m. Feb. 25. Teams of six to eight people are encouraged; the $40 per person ticket includes dinner. The event will be at the Hancock County Fairgrounds. Visit the corporation’s Facebook site for registration.
