GREENFIELD
Dylan Hamilton Palmer, age 17, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023. He was born in Indianapolis on June 24, 2005 to Annette (Holden) and Scott Palmer. He was a senior at Greenfield-Central High School and worked at Montana Mike’s as a lead line cook. Dylan had recently enlisted in the United States Army, a dream from the age of 8, eager to travel anywhere the Army would need him. He loved spending time outdoors, traveling to fish, hike, explore and experience life. Dylan had a passion for music, helping to compose and release some tracks with friends. Most of all, he loved his family and friends.
Dylan is survived by his loving parents; Scott and Annette Palmer; siblings, Draven Stafford, Trevison Stafford (Jasmine Barger), Savannah Palmer (Noah Elkaim), and Jada Palmer (Jackson Sample); maternal grandfather, Bill Holden (Penny); paternal grandmother, Jan Dyar (Kevin); aunts, Melinda Shoebridge (Don) and Jennifer Palmer; uncle, Bill Palmer (Wendy); and cousins, Cierra Emge, Justin Messer, Jordyn Sturgill and Canyen Palmer. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Linda Barnett; paternal grandfather, Fred Palmer; and his cousin, Kory Emge.
Visitation and funeral service will be held at Brandywine Community Church, 1551 E New Rd, Greenfield, IN 46140 on Friday, February 3, 2023. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Troy Doubman officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory in Greenfield.
