Linda Marie Reading (Lyn) 66, formerly of Greenfield, passed away January 5, 2023, at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor Florida.

Linda was born January 11, 1956, in Muncie Indiana. She graduated from Greenfield Central High School, class of 1974. Linda was employed by Hancock Memorial Hospital for several years at the beginning of her career, and Anthem BCBS prior to her retirement. One of the most special times during Linda’s career was working for Indiana Republican State Central Committee and for the Campaign of former Sen Dan Coats R IN. During this time, she was able to meet President Ronald Reagan, President George Bush Sr, VP Dan Quayle, former Senator Lugar, Senator Dan Coates and others. She attended National Republican conventions and was active in many other Republican political functions.

Linda was a gifted musician and singer who gave her life to ministering to others. She touched many lives through her gift of prayer and worship. Linda led choirs and was the organist/pianist at Faith Apostolic Church Greenfield for many years. She also volunteered her gifts in music ministry to Calvary Church, Tampa FL where she was a former member, and River of Life, Muncie. Linda was a member and attended River of Life Church.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Rev Floyd Reading, Mother, Jacqueline (Walker) Reading, and sister Cynthia Medlin. She is survived by her sisters Rebecca Reading, Tallahassee FL, Lisa (Craig) Taylor of Largo FL, brother Rev John (Christine) Reading of Greenfield, and Brother-in-law, Gene Medlin of Greenfield. Her cherished nieces and nephews, Erica Medlin Manuel, Indianapolis IN, Elaine Taylor and Jacqueline Johnson, of Largo FL and Rebekah (Miguel) Monzon of Clearwater FL. Nephews, Christian Isaac Reading of Tucson AZ, Clark and Jonathan Reading of Greenfield IN, and Daniel Reading of Tallahassee FL, also several great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service celebrating Linda’s life will be held at Faith Apostolic Church, Greenfield on Saturday January 21, 2023, with visitation at 2 pm and service starting at 4 pm.
