GREENFIELD
Larry F. Hollis, age 76, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born in Iron City, Tennessee on September 18, 1946 to Ruth (Risner) and Rodney Hollis. He graduated from Noblesville High School in 1964. Larry married Therese (Holtel) Willett on September 23, 1984 in Fortville.
He started his working career at Eden Elementary, where he was a custodian for many years. He then worked as a forklift operator at Roll Coater. Lastly, Larry ended his career, working for the Greenfield Police Department as a crossing guard for over 20 years. In his free time, Larry enjoyed fishing and watching the Colts, Pacers and IU. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren’s activities.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Therese Hollis of Greenfield; children, Brian Hollis (Betz), Joe Hollis (Christine), Matthew Hollis, Michael Hollis, David Hollis, Tim Willett (Stacy), Angela Hutchison, and Jeff Willett (Kim) all of Greenfield; grandchildren, Ashley, Kara, Cameron, Matthew, Ethan, Garrett, Mckenna, Tyce, Rylan, Mason, Alayna, Luke, Kyle, Morgan, Cody, Adam, Zack, Mackenzie and Caden; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Sadie, Cali, Kelsie, Mya and Nolan; brother, Rodney Hollis (Martha) of Alabama; and sister, Wanda Fugett of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Rodney; and sister, Agnes Sawyer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. The funeral service will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Chris Dahlquist officiating.
