GREENFIELD
Greenfield – Kenneth W. Reich, age 82, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022. He was born on August 11, 1940, in Newton, Illinois to John and Geraldine (Harris) Reich. He graduated from Indianapolis Manuel High School in 1958. Mr. Reich received his drafting degree from Ivy Tech Community College. He married Rita Moon on February 14, 1971.
He worked as a Machinist for Indiana Gear in Indianapolis prior to his retirement. Kenneth loved anything to do with cars. Over the years he enjoyed acquiring antique cars to tinker with until they became drivable. He was a very social person and could strike up a conversation with just about anybody, especially when he was attending car shows.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rita (Moon) Reich; sons, Rodney Reich of Greenfield, Corbin Reich of Greenfield, and Duncan (Brandi Neice) Reich of Maxwell; sister, Gloria Weidner of Indianapolis; and grandchildren Kameron Davis of Greenfield, Sydnee Reich of Indianapolis, and Kennedi Reich of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Geraldine (Harris) Reich; and sister Mary Witham.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from Noon until 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Brent Smith officiating. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
