Match Day Part 6

Editor’s note: The Daily Reporter is partnering with the Hancock County Community Foundation to highlight local nonprofit organizations in the community, what they offer and how they could enhance their services through additional funding from Match Day.

Featured Match Day participant: Hancock County Public Library

Executive director: Dave Gray

Mission: Deliver quality information service, multiple resources and technology tools, and a variety of programs for lifelong learning and enjoyment to all residents of Hancock County in a caring and innovative setting.

Community offerings: The Hancock County Public Library provides superior county-wide library service convenient to and used by all residents through programs and materials in a financially responsible way. We do this one life at a time. We serve all of Hancock County with the exception of Vernon Township. We normally circulate 1 million items per year and over 400,000 people visit a library location every year. Our collections, programming, and meeting spaces enhance the quality of life in Hancock County.

Match Day funding plans: The operating grant will be used to help pay for a wrap for our new outreach van, or put in the endowment.
