McCORDSVILLE — A developer planning four speculative buildings and asking that the site be annexed into McCordsville has requested a continuance from the upcoming plan commission meeting.

Indianapolis-based GDI Companies wants to develop four buildings totaling nearly 1.7 million square feet on over 160 acres at the northeast corner of CR 700W and 500N. The builder is asking the town of McCordsville to give the site an industrial zoning designation, should the annexation be approved. The town’s plan commission was initially slated to consider a zoning recommendation at its upcoming Aug. 16 meeting, but GDI has requested a continuance to the Sept. 20 meeting.

Other changes to the Aug. 16 meeting are StorAmerica requesting a continuance for its rezone until Sept. 20 and an amended plat for the Colonnade subdivision getting withdrawn by the petitioner.

McCordsville posts meeting agendas on its website, mccordsville.org, under the Agendas & Minutes tab.
