Mary Sue (Kemp) Weiler, age 82, of New Palestine, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Born on July 23, 1939, in Macon County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Mary Louise (Tuck) and Oddie Day Kemp. Mary graduated from Washington High School in Indianapolis in 1957. She married Paul “Pete” Weiler on October 3, 1958 in Indianapolis.

Mary owned and operated Play & Learn Preschool in New Palestine for over 10 years. After her work with the preschool, she worked at New Palestine Post Office for over 25 years as a carrier and clerk. Mary enjoyed sewing, attending bible study, playing and listening to music, and reading. She was a member at Brookville Road Community Church, where she taught Sunday School for a few years. Mary also tutored in Phonics and was known as “Suzy Q” the clown around the New Palestine area.

Mary is survived by her husband, Pete Weiler; children, Kim (husband, David) of Grants Pass, Oregon, R. Scott (wife, Deb) Weiler of New Palestine, Penney Weiler of New Palestine and Nichole Weiler of Norfolk, VA; grandchildren, Joan Omley, Allison (husband, Jonathan) Allaire, Garrett (wife, Abby) Weiler, Coen (wife, Keri) Weiler, Spenser (husband, Jordan) Taylor, Shane (fiancée, Stephanie Kranda) Weiler and Preston Weiler; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Beau and a baby girl on the way; and sisters, Brenda (husband, Ron) Dilley, Judy (husband, Robert) Thompson, Beverly (husband, George) Heady. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Oddie; and her brother, Donald Kemp.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A Celebration of Life and her first birthday in Heaven will be held at the mortuary on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery.
