RUSHVILLE, IN
Gary R. Siler, 78, of Rushville passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at his home. Gary was born on March 19, 1944 in Indianapolis to the late John R. and Evelyn (Carson) Siler.
Gary was a 1961 graduate of Carthage High School and received his B.A. in transportation in 1965 from Tri State University in Angola. He married Brenda Sue Glenn on June 29, 1979 and she survives.
Gary was a truck driver for his own company Carson and Siler; he then drove for Fraley and Schilling for 25+ years. He was a member of Christ Fellowship Church of Rushville of which his son Mike founded. Gary enjoyed NASCAR, country music, car shows and baseball, but most of all loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife Sue, Gary is survived by 4 sons, Jerry (Tammy) Bostic of Rushville, Steven Hepler of Indiana, Mike ( Andrea) Jessup of Knightstown and John D. (Paula) Jessup of Shirley, 4 daughters, Peggy (Charlie) Stout of Arlington, Barbara (Terry) McDaniel of Connersville, Julie (Mo) Siler of Yorktown, PA and Shari (David) Wooster of Ellettsville, sister Karen Morrison of MT ,20 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a sister Sue Siemens.
Services will be held at 5 PM Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Pastors Jason Cupp and Chip West will preside. Friends are welcome to visit from 3 to 5 PM that same day at the mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
