McCORDSVILLE
75, of McCordsville, passed away March 26, 2022. He was born November 17, 1946 in Rushville to the late Paul LaVern and Sally Mary Humphrey Wiley. Gary was a 1964 graduate of Mays High School, Mays, Indiana and attended the Indiana Barber College. He served the State of Indiana in the Indiana National Guard Reserves from 1966-1972. Gary married Linda E. Holmes, September 21, 1969, and she preceded him in death July 11, 2019. Gary owned and operated the McCordsville Barber Shop for 58 years. He was a former 25-year member of Christian Tabernacle and a current member of Calvary Tabernacle. Gary was a locomotive officiando, collecting all things related to trains.
Visitation will be Friday, April 1, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Road and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Star City Church, 3801 Union Street, Lafayette, Indiana.
Gary is survived by his devoted children, Andrew S. Wiley and Ja’Nene E. Gillam (Brian); grandchildren, Ashton L. Gillam, Micaela K. Gillam, Aaron S. Wiley and Dylan S. Wiley; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Donna Kay Walcott and Marcia L. Drew (Mike). A brother, Bruce A. Wiley, preceded him in death. www.shirleybrothers.com.
