GREENFIELD
Robert “Rob” Matthew Willis, age 65, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at AMG. He was born on November 2, 1956 in Beech Grove, Indiana to Robert J. Willis and Beverly Cecil. Robert was a 1975 graduate of Eastern Hancock High School.
Rob’s passion was Aviation, which was a part of his family for three generations. He loved flying in his Taylor Craft plane every chance he got. His other passion was his family. He loved his family dearly. For many years, he was employed at Hostess.
Rob is survived by his wife, Theresa Calhoun Willis; children, Robert Curtis (Derek) of Fishers, Brandon Matthew of Greenfield, Conner Lucas of Greenfield, and Alisa Willis (Curtis) of Mitchell, IN; grandchildren, Reagen and Emmett Lowder; sister Lori Hoppes (Dennis); brothers, Bill Willis (Stacey) and David Willis (Melissa); lifelong friend, Kent Frost; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and his Hostess family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. Willis and Beverly Cecil.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine.
