More than 5,000 wreaths were placed by Wreaths Across America in December 2019 at Marion National Cemetery in Grant County.
FORTVILLE – Community members are welcome to participate in Wreaths Across America’s wreath-laying ceremony today (Saturday, Dec. 18) at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville, beginning at noon.
Wreaths Across America is a national organization that places wreaths on the graves of as many veterans as possible during the holiday season. The event takes place at the same time all around the country, and the Fortville event will go ahead today rain or shine.
The group will begin with a moment of silence at noon and then distribute wreaths among veterans’ graves.
