GREENFIELD — Now is the time to register for downtown Greenfield’s Christmas Parade of Lights, set for 5:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4.
The “Christmas Lights Up Greenfield”-themed parade and downtown window decorating content are hosted by the Riley Festival committee. All parade entries must be decorated with a minimum of 500 lights. The parade route will begin on Depot Street and end on American Legion Place south of the courthouse annex. A prize of $50 will be awarded to the entry with the best use of lights.
Downtown merchants are encouraged to decorate their business windows by Dec. 1 in a contest; the winner will be announced at the tree lighting ceremony after the parade. For questions or entry forms for the parade and the window-decorating contest, email [email protected] or call 317-462-2141.
