NEW PALESTINE — Officials with the New Palestine Police Department are looking for a entry level officer or a lateral transfer officer and will be accepting applications through Oct. 15. Probationary salary starts at $47,000 or $54,000 for qualified lateral transfers. Benefits also include a retirement fund; specialty opportunities for SWAT, K9, evidence tech; longevity pay; take home vehicle and more. There will be a physical and written test slated for Saturday, Oct. 23.
