GREENFIELD — The Steak ‘n Bake ‘n Raffle, a fundraiser of the Rotary Club of Greenfield that benefits several organizations, will be held at 6 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Hancock County Fairgrounds. A $40 ticket includes dinner, drinks, raffles, music and dancing. Life Choices Center to hold banquet

GREENFIELD — Life Choices Care Center will hold its annual fundraiser banquet at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 14. “Voice for the Voiceless” will be held at Brookville Road Community Church, 7480 U.S. 52, New Palestine. Cost is $25; register at www.lifechoicescarecenter.org.

Funds raised for Resource Center

GREENFIELD — A grant check for more than $28,000 was presented to the Women’s Resource Center, and a total of $20,739 was raised at the Power of the Philanthropic Purse event Saturday, Aug. 7. The event, hosted by the Hancock County Community Foundation, was held at Nameless Creek Camp with a “glamping” themed brunch. The event included speakers Hayden Kovell, 2020-2021 Martha Beckenholdt Youth Philanthropy Award recipient, and Beth Ingle, executive director of the WRC.

Museums free through Smithsonian program

INDIANAPOLIS — Free admission to several museums is available Saturday, Sept. 18 through Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day program.

Participating museums include Conner Prairie, Rhythm! Discovery Center, Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, Eiteljorg Museums of American Indians and Western Art, Indiana Historical Society, and the Museum of Miniature Houses and Other Collections.
