FORTVILLE
Connie Taylor, 74, of Fortville, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 29, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born August 20, 1946 in Linton, Indiana to George and Betty (Boone) Skaggs. Connie enjoyed gardening and tending to her yard, but most of all she enjoyed watching her grandchildren playing sports and spending time with her family.
Connie was a 1964 graduate of Lawrence Central High School and retired as a Postmaster from the United States Postal Service. She had worked in the Fortville, McCordsville, Maxwell and Fishers post offices throughout her career. Connie was also a licensed beauty operator.
Connie is survived by daughters: Crystal (Tracy) Bills of Fortville and Mindi (Rob) McKeeman of Greenfield; grandchildren Alex Bills, Cassie (Jason) Brumfield, Chelsea Gibson, Drew (fianc? Juliana Wyatt) Weir, Gaston McKeeman, Brooks McKeeman; great-grandchildren: Joey and Murphy Brumfield and Emma and Hunter Gibson; brother Bob Skaggs as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Taylor in 2019 and her parents.
A celebration of Connie’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville, IN. Friends may call on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 11:00 am until the service begins. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
