GREENFIELD
William “Bill” Morris Cook Sr., age 80, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospice Care. He was born in Indianapolis on June 8, 1940 to Floyd Cook and Charlene Clements. He graduated from Ben Davis High School and served in the U.S. Navy. On November 21, 1966, Bill married Wilmont Blanche “Wilma” Cook in Indianapolis.
Bill worked at Speedway Volkswagen-Subaru as a Master Auto Mechanic for many years before retiring in 2004. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Greenfield. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed going fishing and collecting guns. He loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Christina Davis (Scott) of New Palestine and Andrea Smitty (Henry) of Greenfield; grandchildren, Bradley Smitty (Gillian), Teagan Davis, Avery Davis (Claire), and Jackson Davis; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Gossett Smitty and Ivy Smitty. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma; parents, Floyd and Charlene; son, William M. Cook Jr.; and brother James Cook.
