NEW PALESTINE — Residents and people traveling through the New Palestine area on Saturday, April 17, should be on the lookout for a large number of motorcycle riders heading to New Palestine Cemetery for a memorial.

As many as 500 riders are expected to participate in a memorial ride for the Outlaws Motorcycle Club that will make its way to the cemetery, where several members are buried.

According to information shared by law enforcement, this is expected to be a regional event for the club, which has rented the Marion County Fairgrounds for the weekend. “Patched members” are required to participate, which led police to conclude a large group will be making the pilgrimage.

The group is expected to make its way to the cemetery, 5055 S. County Road 500W, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday. Some may show up early Friday afternoon, police said.

The club has four chapters in Indiana: in Indianapolis, Anderson, Gary and Fort Wayne, according to its website.
