Make a fish puppet in virtual workshiop
VIRTUAL — Carmel’s Center for the Performing Arts will present “Make It! Fish Puppet” as part of its new Performing Arts Connect series. The $12 workshop will take place over Zoom at 10 a.m. March 6. Mr. Jeffrey from the Digital Learning team at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, Georgia will lead children age 7 and older to become puppet makers and puppeteers in creating a wriggly fish puppet in their home “studios.” Supplies needed: 8.5” x 11” paper (construction paper or card stock works best), tape, markers or crayons, scissors, scrap paper for decorating, and something to make eyes (googly eyes, buttons, stickers, etc.). Take-and-Make mask kits offered at library
GREENFIELD/NEW PALESTINE — Tweens and teens (age 9 through 18) can pick up a free take-and-make custom mask kit. The kit contains one white cotton face mask and two markers for customizing your mask. Kits can be picked up while supplies last at the children’s desk all day during open library hours on March 1 at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield, or the New Palestine Branch Library at 5731 West U.S. Highway 52, New Palestine. No registration necessary. One kit per participant.
