HANCOCK COUNTY — The county recorded a new COVID-19 death Wednesday, raising its total to 111.
The fatality was a woman age 80 or older who died on Feb. 2, according to information from the Indiana State Department of Health.
Hancock County also added 37 novel coronavirus cases Wednesday, raising that total to 7,046.
The county’s advisory level for COVID-19 community spread remained orange, the second most severe.
Indiana added 36 COVID-19 fatalities, raising its death toll to 9,713; and 1,480 cases, bringing that total to more than 631,000.
As of early Wednesday, 8,724 Hancock County residents had received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination and almost 3,000 were fully vaccinated. Statewide, more than 611,000 have received a first dose and more than 166,000 have been fully vaccinated.
