GREENFIELD — County government meetings may soon be available to watch on local television and online.
The Hancock County Commissioners agreed at their meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 5, to work with NineStar Connect on a plan to broadcast their meetings as well as those of the county council, the board of zoning and appeals and the plan commission. The meetings would be carried live on Channel 9, NineStar TV on cable, and then be made available 24 hours later online. Older meetings would also be archived online.
A representative of NineStar said the company would offer the county a stipend of $6,000 per year to pay for any equipment upgrades needed to make the meetings more accessible to remote viewers.
