GREENFIELD
Doug Watkins, age 75, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 in Greenfield. He was born in Somerset, KY, to Earl and Thelma Watkins. He graduated from Somerset High School and furthered his education at Georgetown College.
He retired in 2008 after having worked as a sales representative for United Utility Supply Co. of Louisville, KY, for 35 years calling on all rural electric utilities in Indiana. Doug enjoyed playing golf and was an avid runner, having competed in many races including two marathons.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Richards Watkins; children, Kelley (Rhett) Campbell of Indianapolis and Scott (Beth) Watkins of Indianapolis; stepchildren, Sheri (Stan) Myers of Georgia, Mike (Cindy) Richards of Zionsville, and Brian (Angie) Richards of Florida; 10 grandchildren, Chase and Evan Campbell, Brody and Claire Watkins, Kaiden and Jait Shultz, Faith and Zachary Richards, and Kylee and Kinley Richards; and sister, Faye (Jim) Derham of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents.
