GREENFIELD — Crimped Crust will host a cookie pop-up party from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Dec. 19 at 9 S. Franklin St. On sale will be a large assortment of festive handcrafted cookies, just in time for Christmas parties and gift giving. Assorted set sizes and themes will be available. GREENFIELD – The Greenfield Parks and Recreation Department will offer free wagon rides along a quarter-mile section of the Pennsy Trail from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 11 and 18. Rides begin at American Legion Place and end at Riley Ave. This section of the trail has been decorated with Christmas lights. It is also open to trail walkers.

GREENFIELD – Hancock County Arts and the Twenty North Gallery simply refuse to give up or give in as yet another event faces changes thanks to COVID-19. The gallery’s Festival of Trees, originally scheduled to open in early December, has now become a virtual event. Trees can be viewed online at the group’s Facebook page at facebook.com/HancockCountyArtsCouncil. Vote for your favorite. Also, don’t forget the online auction at BiddingForGood.com/HancockCountyArts. Items are still being donated. Bidding ends at 7:45 p.m. Dec. 12.

SHIRLEY – The historic Octagon House in Shirley, 400 S. Railroad St., will host its 19th annual Christmas Tree Walk from 4 to 8 p.m., Dec. 11 and 12. The self-guided tours are free to the public. A chicken noodle dinner is available the first weekend and a soup and sandwich meal is available the second weekend for $12. Both meals include dessert. GREENFIELD – The Greenfield-Central High School Drama Department will stream its 2019 production of “Footloose” at 7 p.m., Dec. 12 and 13. GC-Drama’s production of “Footloose” was cut short by the pandemic and the closing of schools, but Director Carolyn Voigt engineered a socially distanced production of the actors performing from home. Tickets are $10 and available at gcscdrama.weebly.com.

FORTVILLE — Carriage rides will be available through historic downtown Fortville from 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 12. The rides range from $10 to $15 per size of the carriage and last between 15 and 20 minutes long. Hot chocolate and baked goods will be available near the carriage ride location and Fortville Action Inc. will be selling chili and hot dogs.
