GREENFIELD

Robert “Bob” L. Moore, age 87, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Golden Living Center. He was born in Indianapolis on August 19, 1933 to the late Russel B. and Clara M. (McAtee) Moore. He graduated from Little Flower Catholic School in 1947 then from Cathedral High School in 1951. Mr. Moore received his degree from Purdue University in 1955. He married Suzanne (Ogle) Moore on May 21, 1977.

He worked for Lone Star Industries for 33 years in Accounting before retiring in 1992. During his time with Lone Star Industries, he worked in Indianapolis, Norfolk, VA, Houston, TX, Nashville, TN, and Stamford, CT. Bob retired in Hendersonville, NC, where he and his wonderful wife of more than 30 years, enjoyed the beautiful fall scenery and mountains for seven years before returning to Indiana to be closer to their sons and their families as well as other relatives. Since retiring, both enjoyed traveling and sight-seeing in other parts of our country when not gardening and having fun with their Schnauzer, Dudley. During his time living in Indianapolis, he enjoyed bowling and coaching youth sports for several years in the Northwest Football League and Speedway Baseball League. Mr. Moore was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Greenfield.

He is survived by his sons, Ron A. (Paula) Richey of Greenfield, Jon C. Richey of Michigan City, IN, Dan Richey of Shelbyville, and Patrick G. (Leslie) Moore of Pooler, GA; five grandchildren, Nick (Abby) Richey of Lansing, MI, Emily (Jed) Cornforth of Indianapolis, Jarad and Jordon Richey of Virginia Beach, VA, and Brandon Moore of Pooler, GA; 5 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard L. (Coliene) Moore of New Whiteland, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Rose (Moorman) Moore; wife, Suzanne Moore; and son, Robert Moore Jr.

A committal service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Mausoleum Chapel, 9001 Haverstick Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46240. Father Aaron Jenkins will be officiating. Memorial mass services will be announced on a later date. As a reminder, the government mandate requires guests to wear masks. We are limited to a capacity of 50 guests at a time and please practice social distancing.
