Roe-Wade-sink-swim

To the editor:

Do we have a choice? The answer is yes!

It falls as a responsibility to both male and female in a sexual relationship to consider all the consequences of such actions.

Are we doing this on the basis of “want” or “need” “lust” or “love”?

Would we be considered responsible or negligent in taking such actions?

Writing this at our age is easy, but we didn’t have social pressures and attitudes that persist today.

The male definitely has a choice as to whether or not to start and proceed with the relationship.

The female likewise has many opportunities to make decisions regarding her body.

To start with, is the guy the type of person you should be having a sexual relationship with?

Do you present yourself in sexually desirable way, or could you present yourself as a more complete and responsible individual?

Can you avoid being lured into a situation that you have no control over?

If a sexual relationship is unavoidable, have you both got adequate protection?

When the ultimate happens without your approval, talk to your parents or guardian, before taking the next step.

Don’t get into the “boat” unless you are sure that you can handle the rowing, wading or swimming.

Be happy and don’t let the politics on this issue dictate your future.

It is your choice.
