Restaurant Inspections Sept. 4-9
The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.
Sept. 4
Lincoln Square Pancake House
Location: 118 W. Main St., Greenfield
Type of Inspection: Routine
Violations found: C/R4 — sausage links in hot holding below 135 degrees, corrected; C — date is not marked on container of cole slaw in walk-in cooler, spray bottles with chemicals need to be labeled with common name, corrected.

Violations found: C — nacho cheese below 135 degrees, corrected/discarded; NC — ice chute on ice machine has mold on the outside, to be corrected b Sept. 10; C — trays for donuts need to be washed, rinsed and sanitized between uses, three-compartment sink in store in not large enough to clean trays properly.

Location: 80 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield
Type of Inspection: Routine
Violations found: C/R — gravy in hot holding cabinet at 110 degrees (needs to be held at 135 degrees or higher), corrected; NC — hand washing sink temperature below 100 degrees, manager turned off hot water at mop sink that had been left on, corrected; C — touchpoint surfaces that are touched with food handling gloves in between food preparation such as cooler door handles, utensils, etc. need to be treated as food contact surfaces and sanitized every four hours; C — sani bucket with wiping cloths did not have sanitizer, corrected; NC — ice build-up present in reach-in freezer on line and walk-in freezer, to be corrected by Oct. 1; NC/R — floor slippery throughout kitchen, to be corrected by Oct. 1.
