Mikayla Spencer earns Dean’s List honors at Ohio Wesleyan University

DELAWARE, OH — Mikayla Spencer, Greenfield, has been named to the 2020 spring semester Dean’s List at Ohio Wesleyan University. To earn Dean’s List recognition, Ohio Wesleyan students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes. Local historian receives grant

GREENFIELD – Local historian Joe Skvarenina was recently awarded a grant to develop a college level history course. The $3,000 grant, presented by the Russian and East European Institute (REEI) of Indiana University (IU), towards the development of American History II at Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis. Skvarenina will submit a course syllabus and a report on the outcome of his proposed course. This course development grant was made possible through funding from the US Department of Education to the Title VI National Resource Center for Russia/Eastern Europe at REEI of IU.

Greenfield Connections Academy students inducted into National Honor Society

INDIANA – Indiana Connections Academy recently inducted more than 60 students into its National Honor Society (NHS) for the 2020 – 2021 school year. Included in the NHS class is Kelsey Slattery, an 11th grader from Greenfield and Samantha Turben, a senior from McCordsville. As a full-time, online public school, Indiana Connections Academy held an online induction ceremony allowing students to recite the NHS pledge and be recognized. The induction recognizes high school students in grades 11 – 12 who have demonstrated the four pillars of NHS: everyday scholarship, service, leadership and character. Matthew Rollo named to Centre College dean’s list

DANVILLE, KY — Matthew Rollo, McCordsville, has been named to the dean’s list for the winter/spring term at Centre College, an honor reserved for students who maintain at least a 3.60 grade point average.
