GREENFIELD – Depot St. will host an open house event that includes a tour of the recently purchased grain elevator, food, music, a car show and activities for the kids. The festivities kick off at 4 p.m. Oct. 9 at 240 E. Mill St. Food and drink will be provided by Kilroy’s Bar & Grill and the Wooden Bear Brewing Company. Additionally, local watercolorist Cathleen Huffman will be on hand with an exhibit of her paintings of Indiana’s historic grain elevators from her Bicentennial Legacy Project, which were featured on PBS’s Journey Indiana (journeyindiana.org, episode 108). GREENFIELD – Greenfield Main Street will host a Harvest Market from 2 to 9 p.m. Oct. 9 on the Courthouse Plaza at 9 S. Main St. Local artisans and small businesses will be on hand selling hand-crafted items.
