Open house to preview construction at elevator
GREENFIELD — The grain elevator at 240 W. Mill St. will be open to the public from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, before construction begins to transform the property into a restaurant.
The family-friendly event will also include music and a car show along with food and drinks provided by Kilroy’s Bar & Grill and the Wooden Bear Brewing Company.
Local artist and preservationist Cathleen Huffman will also be in attendance with her paintings of Indiana’s historic grain elevators from her Bicentennial Legacy Project that were featured on PBS’s Journey Indiana (journeyindiana.org, episode 108).
