Library group is selling books for as low as 25 cents

GREENFIELD — The Friends of the Hancock County Public Library will hold a two-day, gently used book sale in the Greenfield lobby from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 5 and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 6.

Most hardbacks cost $1; paperbacks cost 50 cents. Children’s books are 50 cents and 25 cents. DVDs, CDs and audio books are $1.

On bargain day, Aug. 6, a standard paper grocery bag full of books sells for $3, a plastic grocery bag for $2.

Proceeds fund free concerts and children’s special events at the library.
