GREENFIELD — School-age children in Hancock County can receive a free backpack at an upcoming Community Night Out event at the Hancock County Fairgrounds.
The event will take place July 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. Children must be present in the vehicle to receive a bag, which will be given away while supplies last. Vehicles are asked to enter the fairgrounds from Park Avenue.
The event is organized by the local Community Night Out committee, which is focused on connecting community members with police, fire and other public safety department employees.
