To the editor:
I applaud Mayor Chuck Fewell and planning director Joan Fitzwater for allowing restaurants to expand their outdoor seating. This is a great idea, which makes a lot of sense. An even greater idea is to allow this on a permanent basis. The parking next to Griggsby’s Station and in the Living Alley are, in my opinion, less important to the community compared to outside restaurant seating during the spring, summer and fall. Anything we can do to promote restaurant and/or bar outdoor seating would be a welcome change for our community. Just a suggestion!
