HANCOCK COUNTY — Keely Butrum, Kent Fisk and Robin Lowder tallied the highest vote totals for the Hancock County Council’s three at-large seats in the Republican primary Tuesday.

Incumbent Kent Fisk had the most votes in the five-way race, at 5,392. Lowder had 4,950 votes and Butrum had 3,961.
They defeated Ray Richardson and Kirk Jocham, who got 3,514 and 2,759 votes, respectively.
No Democrats ran for the seats in the primary.
The three winners are veteran officeholders, led by Fisk, who has served on the Greenfield-Central School Board as well as the county council. Richardson, the longtime county attorney and state representative, was seeking office for the first time since the 1990s. Jocham was running for the first time.
A detailed story on the race, including reaction, will be published in the print edition of the Daily Reporter on Thursday, June 4.
