GREENFIELD
Vera M. Rutledge, age 97, formerly of Greenfield passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Blair Ridge Health Campus, Peru, Indiana. She was born January 28, 1922 in Henry County, Indiana to the late Cecil and Imogene (Shelton) Rhodes.
Vera worked for Naval Avionics as a production controller until her retirement. She was a long-time member of Trinity Park United Methodist Church, and a member of the Clio Club. Art was her passion and Greenfield Banking Company exhibited her works many years ago.
She is survived by her children Jacque (Betty) Rutledge, Marlene (Ronald) Working; grandchildren, Darryl Rutledge, Patty Rutledge, Joe Montgomery; 4 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Vera is preceded in death by her parents, listed above; husband, Charles C. Rutledge in 1992; brother, William Rhodes; grandsons, Chuck Rutledge; and James Montgomery.
Funeral service with Pastor John Meunier officiating, 11 a.m., Monday, January 27, 2020 with calling from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Burial immediately following at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
