GREENFIELD — The ever-popular PBS show “Downton Abbey” makes its return this month — not to TV, but to the silver screen.
Spade Events Co., a locally based event planning and management company, has partnered with Friends of the Theater – Hancock County to offer a premiere party from 5 to 10 p.m. Sept. 19. The evening will start at historic Bradley Hall, 2 W. Main St., with dinner and Downton Abbey trivia games and a costume contest.
Guests will then adjourn and head to Legacy Cinema, 2347 W. Main St., where they will walk the red carpet and enjoy an exclusive private showing of the film.
Tickets for the event begin at $55 for dinner and a movie; $85 VIP tickets include first-choice seating and a gift bag. HANCOCK COUNTY — Hancock County Historical Society will play host to a Log Cabin Tour from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 15. This self-guided tour through five of Hancock County’s log cabins is free to the public. Those at the 4-H Fair Cabin location will sell root beer floats. GREENFIELD — Love INC’s Love Runs Deep 5KRun/Walk and Hancock County Church Expo are set for 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 14. The run begins at the Courthouse Plaza and follows the Pennsy Trail. Many Hancock County churches will be represented at the Courthouse Plaza. The public is invited to enjoy music, food, prizes and networking. The fee to participate in the 5K is $25.
