RUSHVILLE, IN.
Helen E. Bane, 90 of Rushville, passed away on August 24, 2019 in Indianapolis. She was born on May 2, 1929 in Rushville to the late William Casey and Mary (Ailes) Casey.
Helen was a 1947 graduate of Rushville High School. She married Fred Bane on October 30, 1960 and he preceded her in death on January 27, 1997.
Helen worked at Stokely-Van Camp in Indianapolis as an accountant and bookkeeper for over 20 years, and then as a bookkeeper for Loma Apartments for over 15 years. Helen was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She will always be remembered for the love of her children and all the events she attended for her daughters.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Susan (Bill) English of Greenfield, Sally (Bruce) Adams of Taylorsville, IL, Kathy (Bob) Jones of Indianapolis, and Lori (J.R.) Goodpaster of Scipio, IN; 10 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 2 more on the way this year.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Mariam Landwerlin; brother, William Casey; 2 great-granddaughters, Lauren Alice Wiley and Alexis Michelle Adams.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28th at the First Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Dave Richardson presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family from 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be held in Rushville East Hill Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made out to the First Baptist Church or Boys Town at boystown.org.
