‘Rocky Horror’ play-a-part one weekend only

INDIANAPOLIS — Buck Creek Players’ biennial Play-a-Part fundraiser, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” plays Aug. 2-4 at Buck Creek Playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Ave. All roles in the play-a-part productions are cast through an online silent auction with no auditions necessary. Veteran performers join first-timers to give the performance a comedic twist much like “The Carol Burnett Show” or “Saturday Night Live.” “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” tells the story of Brad Majors and his fiancée, Janet Weiss — a normal, wholesome young couple in love — as they innocently set out to visit an old professor. Unfortunately, a thunderstorm and a flat tire force them to seek help at the castle of Dr. Frank N. Furter, an alien transvestite scientist. Brad, Janet and Frank N. Furter’s cohorts are swept up into the scientist’s latest experiment. Recommended for mature audiences only. For more information and show times, visit buckcreeplayers.com or call 317-862-2270.
