GREENFIELD
Karren S. (Nolen) Shepherd, age 69, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky on August 17, 1949 to Earl & Mattie (Stidham) Nolen. She graduated from Knightstown High School. Karren married the love of her life, William “Bill” Shepherd on January 27, 1973 in Knightstown.
Karren worked for Western Electric in Indianapolis before retiring around 1975. She enjoyed donating to local charities, listening to George Straight, and shopping, especially at garage sales. Most of all Karren cherished being a devoted mother and grandmother.
Karren is survived by her husband, Bill Shepherd of Greenfield; son, Kevin Shepherd of Greenfield; daughter, Carla Moore of Indianapolis; brother, Chad (Jennifer) Nolen of Sidney, Ohio; sister, Sherri Wolford; grandchildren, Brianna Moore; Victoria Moore; Tyla Smith; close cousin, Jill Baker; several nieces/nephews, and her beloved dog and protector, Daisy.
Karren was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Brenda Thompson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 10:00 am to 12:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US. Hwy 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin, Indiana.
