Health inspections

The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Nov. 29

Dave’s Meat Market

Location: 333 S. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C/R — deli meats in case not being date-marked when opened, to be corrected by Nov. 30; C — sanitizer in deli area too strong, corrected; NC/R — remove litter and unnecessary items to the operation of the establishment, need to pull out equipment to clean floors, to be corrected by Jan. 1.

Dec. 3

Pizza King

Location: 237 W. Main St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: C — need employee health policy and review with all staff, corrected/sample given; C — hand sink is draining slowly, must not be used for anything other than hand washing, corrected; NC — need thin-tipped thermometer for patties, water at hand-washing sink must be at least 100 degrees, to be corrected by Jan. 1; NC/R2 — clean box doors/handles, clean floor/coving near exterior door and ware washing area, clean shelving/floor/coving at dough station to remove build-up, debris, grime, to be corrected by Jan. 1.

Mozzi’s All-Star Pizza

Location: 2221 W. Main St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Location: 1502 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC — food equipment thermometer must be easily accessible in all refrigeration units, clean bottom shelf of refrigeration unit to remove liquid/discharge/debris, to be corrected by Jan. 1.

Florida Cracker BBQ

Location: 812 S. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine
