GREENFIELD — Greenfield Police Department officers are searching for an accused marijuana dealer.
Investigators say they met Robert Vollett, 35, 737 S. State St., Greenfield, on Jan. 28 after they found a teen, who was reported a runaway, inside the man’s home.
A strong odor of marijuana was coming from inside the home, and police searched the residence, officials said. Inside, they found drugs, money and a gun in the safe, officials said.
Vollett told police he found the safe in a dumpster, brought it home and had no idea of what was inside of it. The pistol found in the safe was registered to Vollett, police said.
Vollett faces one count of dealing marijuana as a Level 6 felony and one count of possession of marijuana, a Level 6 felony. Charges against Vollett were filed Friday, but his whereabouts are unknown, police said.
