PENDLETON
Ralph W. Keerns, 79, of Pendleton, passed away at his home on January 27, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born December 29, 1938 in Shirley, IN to the late Wayne and Viola (Gray) Keerns.
Ralph was a truck driver for over 30 years retiring in 2001. He attended New Life Christian Fellowship Church. Ralph was an avid reader, NASCAR fan and loved John Wayne. He loved IU and enjoyed all other Indiana sports teams. Ralph coached his children in all sports and was even commissioner many of the leagues in which they played. He loved playing euchre and enjoyed firearms.
Ralph is survived by wife Connie (Gable) Keerns, whom he married August 30, 1962; children: DeeAnn Keerns, Rene Little, Eddie Keerns, Mary Jane (companion Terry Holding) Wood, Cathy (Fred) Mohler and Mike (Robin) Keerns; grandchildren: Andria Mozal, Natalie Kilburn, Kelsey Gomez, Anthony Gomez, Brandon (Katie) Wood, Ashley (Brendon) Simpson, Jordyn (Mark) Schatzer, Shelby (Kyle) Adams, Dara (Gabe) Inman, Drew Kiser, Madelyn Keerns, Annie Keerns and Steve Keerns; great grandchildren: Oliver Gomez, Zoey Wood, Daniel Wood, Sadie Adams, Hunter Lenk, Easton Lenk, Hayden May, Jayson Hicks, Brycen Simpson Forrest Inman and Frankie Inman; sister Edith McCurdy and brother Richard (Carol) Keerns.
Friends may call on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 4 to 8 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A celebration of Ralph’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Friends Cemetery, Pendleton, IN.
