INDIANAPOLIS – The one-of-a-kind model train attraction, Jingle Rails: The Great Western Adventure, is back at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indian and Western Art, 500 W. Washington St., now through Jan. 16. Nine model trains crisscross miniature landscapes that recreate downtown Indianapolis and the landmarks of the west including the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore, the Golden Gate Bridge, Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam, all built from natural materials and adorned in festive lighting. INDIANAPOLIS – Is a new vehicle in your future? Even if you’re not planning on purchasing a new car in 2017, the Indianapolis Auto Show, Dec. 26 through Jan. 1 at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 S. Capital Ave., features more than 400 vehicles over more than 400,000 square feet of space. Tickets are $7 at the door for adults, and children under 12 get in free. FISHERS — Make visiting the Gingerbread Village at Conner Prairie, 13400 Allisonville Road, a holiday tradition. A variety of gingerbread structures created by amateurs and professionals are on display through Dec. 31. Admission is $8, and lunch options are available in the museum’s welcome center. INDIANAPOLIS – There’s still time to visit Jolly Days at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum, 3000 N. Meridian St. Visitors can glide down the Yule Slide, make it snow inside the giant snow globe, explore the ice castle and ice skate in their socks. Jolly Days continues through Jan. 8.
