Clarence R. Lanham, 92, of Fortville, died Saturday, March 5, 2016. He was born Oct. 29, 1923, in Rush County, Ind., to the late Clarence R. and Leona (Cross) Lanham. Clarence was a World War II Army veteran

Clarence is survived by children, Judy A. Kitley of Fortville; Clarence “Rick” (Vera) Lanham, III of Madison; Mark W. Lanham of Fortville and Tracy J. Clift of Fortville; eight grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; six great- great- grandchildren and siblings, Virginia P. McEntee and Richard E. Lanham.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; daughter Terri L. Salinas; brother Earl Lanham and sister Evelyn “Sissy” Ellison.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville with Masonic Memorial Rites conducted at 7:30 p.m. A celebration of Clarence’s life will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Fortville Christian Church 9450 N. 200 West Fortville, IN 46040 or to Hancock Regional Hospice Foundation, 801 N. State St., Greenfield, IN  46040.
