Janice Marie Copple, 74, of Mesquite, Nev., passed away Monday, February 29, 2016, at her home. The youngest of nine children, she was born Janice Marie Platt in 1942, in Shelbyville.
She married Stephen Copple in 1961 and settled in Fountaintown, Indiana, where they had three daughters. She spent the majority of her life involved in 4H, boosters, and trips traveling with her family through the United States in their RV. Loving the weather and gambling with her husband, they moved to Mesquite, NV in 1995. Throughout her life, she loved her family, dogs (Rainy and Alex), TV shows, garage sales and most especially, always being right.
She is survived by her loving husband, of 54 years, Stephen Copple of Mesquite, Nev.; daughters, Dawn (Tom) O’Connor of Mason, Ohio, Deneen (Roger) Lucchesi of Pueblo, Colo., Kelly (John) Turner of Inman, SC; grandchildren, Michelle, Rachel and Stephen Turner and Molly and Mark O’Connor. She is also survived by her siblings, Dorothy Gosney, Helen Stanley, Wayne Platt, David Platt, and Mary Springer.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Clarence and Audra Platt and siblings Bob Platt, Melvin Platt, and Vernabelle Tower.
Per her wishes there will be no memorial service conducted.
