Bob Hurt, 70, of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born on July 20, 1945, in Crawfordsville, as the son of Earl and Roxie (Soards) Hurt.
Mr. Hurt was the owner of Hurt Trucking for over 45 years. He was a member of Woodland Heights Christian Church in Crawfordsville, Sugar Creek Masonic Lodge #279 in Fairland and Murat Shrine. He loved his family and relaxing at the lake house.
Bob is survived by his son, Robert (Crystal) Hurt of Greenfield; brother, Richard Hurt of Frankfort, Ind.; sister, Eileen Matricia of New Richmond and three grandchildren, Ashley, Amber and Robert Isaac Hurt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Roxie Hurt and brother, Earl Roger Hurt.
Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140 with a Masonic service being held at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at the mortuary. Pastor John Nichols will be officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Greenfield.
