Francis W. “Bill” St. John, 75, of New Palestine, IN, passed away January 9, 2016. He was born in Indianapolis on August 1, 1940 to the late Francis A. and Mary L. Englert St. John.
Bill was an electrical engineer and the owner and operator of Stelmco Electric Company for 40 years. He retired from Amtrak after 30 years and was a Reserve Officer for the Marion Co. Sheriff’s Department for 16 years.
He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the American Legion. He was also president and CEO of the Indianapolis Electrical Contractors Association for 1 year and served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
Visitation will be Friday, January 15th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. with a Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E. 10th St. Indianapolis, IN 46219.
Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Norma R. St. John; son, Steven P. St. John (Rebecca) and daughter, Jill M. St. John-Archer (Scott Archer).
