Ellen Ruby (Cauldwell) Ross, of Fortville, age 92, of Fortville, died on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016. She was born on Sept. 21, 1923, in Kentucky as the daughter of Frank “Bunt” and Ruby (Olvey) Cauldwell.
She is survived by her daughters, Jill Cizek and Karen Ross Moffitt; nephew, Dick Cauldwell; 11 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank “Bunt” and Ruby (Olvey) Cauldwell; husband, Edward R. (Popps) Ross; sons, Bruce Johnson, Bill Johnson and Dwain Ross; daughter, Kathy Ross Carr; sisters, Dorothy Cauldwell Moore and Lahoma “Bunny” Kornman; and brothers, Wilford “Bud” Cauldwell and Ted Cauldwell.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, from Noon until 2 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 124 E. Staat Street, Fortville, IN 46040. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 2 p.m. Pastor Mark Adcock will be officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
