Thelma M. “T.J.” Burton, 89 of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice. She was born July 2,1926 in Shelbyville, In. to the late Scott A. and Ada (Andis) Fuller.
T.J. was a nursing assistant at Hancock Regional Hospital until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she loved serving as a greeter. T.J. also enjoyed league bowling for many years, loved her flower gardens and especially loved holiday dinners with family.
She is survived by husband, Russell Burton of Greenfield, sons, Thomas Jackson of Poland, IN; Jerry Jackson of Indianapolis; daughters, Cheryl Jackson of Greenfield; Carol (Emil) Moeller of Acton, IN; Betty Lou (Mike) Caron of Carmel, IN; sister, Mary Lou Terrell of Wilkinson; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and a sister.
Friends may call 2-6 pm, Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main, Greenfield, Ind. 46140. Funeral service will be 10 am, Monday, Jan. 11a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Roger Kinion officiating. Burial immediately following service at Memorial Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.
