GREENFIELD — Police have identified the man who was found dead in a wooded area on the city’s north side last week as Doug Roth, 49, of New Palestine.
Roth died from a gunshot wound to the head, but police have not determined whether the manner of death was suicide or homicide. The case remains under investigation.
Roth’s body was found by a family member Wednesday near State Road 9 and Opportunity Parkway, just north of Interstate 70, not far from Elanco headquarters.
